Today, PavCo (The BC Pavilion Association), announced that the BC Place Stadium renovation will be complete by September 30.
Like Optimus Prime, the building is transforming before our eyes, and anyone driving through, around, or anywhere even close to downtown in the past few months could not have possibly missed the monstrous growth out of the previously friendly looking structure.
36 steel masts have been erected, and they will be supporting the fabric roof that is now being installed.
With this news, the only remaining question is which of Vancouver’s professional sports teams – the Whitecaps FC or the BC Lions – will have the honour of playing in it first?
Considering the magnitude of this choice – the fact that it’s the inauguration of a $565-million renovation – decision makers have decided that the best way to determine which team will maximize exposure for the opening… will be determined by a coin toss.
Whoever said life isn’t fair?
