This morning the Chicago Blackhawks introduced their two newest players, Andrew Brunette and Dan Carcillo, to the media. A presser like this would usually not be newsworthy to anyone outside Chicago, but Carcillo came into this one with fighting words.
Dan Carcillo Calls Out the Canucks
Watch TSN‘s video here.
This is what Carcillo had to say about playing the Canucks:
“I’m actually pretty excited to play them because there’s a few guys there who played a little bit outside of their shoes, and I think I can keep most of those guys in check when we play them this year.”
When asked if there was anyone in particular:
“Laperriere, Glass, and Torres.”
Of note, he named 2 guys who aren’t on the Canucks any more, and one retired Philadelphia Flyer… calling out players who aren’t even on the roster seems like the easy way out to me.
Of course, Maxim Lapierre might want to straighten him out some. Perhaps he can get Bitsy and Big Mark Mancari to help – then we’ll see who’s in over his head.
