At 9:33 p.m. last night (Thursday), Phoenix radio host John Gambadoro tweeted the following regarding Shane Doan’s imminent decision:
It is down two – Phoenix and Vancouver. Coyotes Captain Shane Doan will sign a contract deciding where he will play by 5 pm NY time Friday

Now, despite the fact Gambodoro is nowhere near as prolific as the legendary @HockeyyInsiderr, we’ll have to put our trust in him on this one. I’ve tried to keep my hopes down all summer as we’ve been told over and over that Doan would prefer to stay in Phoenix, but I can’t anymore.
HOLY CRAP! VANCOUVER HAS AN ACTUAL CHANCE OF LANDING SHANE DOAN!!!
