Monday Movies: Hassli’s Goalie Head Tap & Ovechkin the Rapper

New statistics show that the Whitecaps win about 4 of every 26 matches they play, which tells us that we should savour every one of these rare victories when they occur.
On Saturday, the Whitecaps managed that rare feat, and they did it with a 1-0 victory over the previously 27-7-8 Houston Dynamo. Shea Salinas was the hero, scoring his first MLS goal in the 86th minute on a pretty set-up from Long Tan.
Watch the goal below. Also, watch how Eric Hassli cheekily taps goalkeeper Tally Hall on the head immediately after it goes in. (Thanks to Cam Charron – @camcharron – for pointing this out)

Alex Ovechkin is a Rapper
Now that you’re in the video watching mood, here is a video clip of Alex Ovechkin recording the music video for Champion, a song Sasha Belyi wrote with him in mind. (thanks to Dmitry Chesnokov – @dchesnokov – for bringing it to our attention)
Personally, I’m quite impressed (and scared) by the gangster look on his face while he raps. At least he’s taking this thing seriously, though.
