Yesterday, following his victory over David Nalbandian at the U.S. Open, Rafael Nadal grimaced in pain and slid off his chair with what was later explained to be cramping.
“I just have cramping in my leg. That’s all. I just have cramping in front and behind. That’s why. It was so painful. That’s all.” (from The Mirror)
He was back on his feet very quickly afterward and apparently all smiles.
Fear not, fans. In the world of Rafa injuries, the burnt fingers, foot blisters and cramping spells he’s been battling during this tournament are minor and temporary. He will be OK.
